Our Purpose

ATL Photo Night meets quarterly. Our aim is to investigate the creative process through conversation. We strive to foster an environment that encourages inclusion, inspiration, accessibility and empowerment. By engaging in dialogue with the artist about their craft, we hope to encourage critical thought about creativity. Free to all.

Our Story

ATL Photo Night began in the Summer of 2016 as the brainchild of Raymond McCrea Jones and Kevin D. Liles, two photographers who yearned for a space to promote and celebrate the work of their peers, as well as engage in conversation about the creative process.

Seeking photographers diverse in background, shooting style, method, and mode, ATL PN offers a behind-the-curtain glimpse of the inspiration and intent that led to the creation of some of Atlanta’s most stirring photography.

Atlanta’s burgeoning art scene and varied independent artists make the city not only a springboard to launch artists onto the national stage, but serves as a prime location for up-and-coming photographers to showcase, workshop, discuss, and dissect their craft at ATL PN’s “for us, by us”-style gatherings.
